Havana Film Festival New York
A project of the American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, the Havana Film Festival New York (HFFNY) presents prominent and emerging Cuban filmmakers as well as screenings of award-winning classic and newly-released Cuban films. This year the festival will pay tribute to filmmaker Gerardo Chijona with the New York premiere of his new film Boleto al Paraiso (Ticket to Paradise) along with a retrospective of his work. HFFNY will also present Q&A sessions with additional filmmakers offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the voices and visions driving the burgeoning Cuban film industry.

An Evening of Filmed Interviews with Cuban Artists Sandra Ceballos, Rocío García, William Pérez, Alicia Leal and Remberto Ramirez. In the summer of 2010, Center Director Sandra Levinson and filmmaker Jenny Hellman conducted a series of interviews with Cuban artists This evening we’ll show five of them, together with examples of works by each artist.
