Set in the streets of Alamar, East of Havana is a documentary tracing the experience of young Cuban hip-hoppers organizing a rap festival. Following three Cubans hip hop artists, the story recounts the struggles they encounter with repression and censorship. The 8th Floor is pleased to welcome director Jauretsi Saizarbitoria for this special event. Saizarbitoria will introduce the film and participate in a Q & A following the screening.
